Traci Mertens, RDR, CRR, CRC

Traci Mertens is an official reporter for the U.S. House of Representatives and a part-time broadcast captioner.  She holds state certifications in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, California, and Washington.  Mertens has been reporting since 1988, a freelance for 30 years, and a firm owner for seen years.  She has served on the NCRA Student Affairs Committee and the NCRA Realtime Technology Committee.  She has also been an NCRA Speed Contest medal winner in 2018 and 2019 and took third place overall in 2019.
