Kayla Lotstein has been a professional stenographer since 2014. Thus far, she has been a freelance reporter, official, and captioner. Through her experience, she has developed a special interest in reporter empowerment and the individual reporter's self-care. She is a strong believer in healthy communication in both her personal and professional life and believes the skill of communication is the key to reporters living a more healthy, fulfilling life, and is the key to working more efficiently while executing their duties.
Kensie Benoit
Kensie Benoit has been working as a certified shorthand reporter for 10 years. After graduating from Alvin Community College, she spent the first two years working as a freelancer before relocating to San Antonio for an officialship. She is currently an official court reporter in the 290th Criminal District Court. Kensie has been a motivational force for students and new professionals through her Instagram, StenoStories, offering tips and tricks to simplify things. Kensie is a teacher and a strong advocate for NCRA A to Z® Intro to Steno Machine Shorthand program. She previously served on the board of directors for the Texas Court Reporters Association and is the immediate past president of BCCRA. She believes all of this was possible through hard work, networking, and involvement with state and national associations.
