Leveraging Technology for Enhanced Professional Efficiency

Jessie Waack has been a freelance court reporter for 30 years, building her career across Wisconsin, San Francisco, and New York City. Throughout that time, she has worked on a wide range of litigation, with much of her recent work focused on complex cases. Her experience in multiple legal markets has given her a practical perspective on both the profession and its evolution over the past three decades. 

In each place she has called home, Jesse has enjoyed becoming involved with the local court reporting community, serving on the boards of the Wisconsin Court Reporters Association, the Deposition Reporters Association, and the New York State Court Reporters Association. Those experiences have given her the opportunity to connect with reporters across the country and contribute to a profession she has enjoyed for nearly three decades. 

When the legal industry rapidly evolved during the pandemic, Jessica embraced the opportunity to expand her technical expertise. She immersed herself in learning new technologies, refining workflows, and discovering innovative ways to streamline both her business and the reporting process. What began as a necessity quickly became a passion. 

Today, Jessica enjoys sharing the practical knowledge and solutions she has discovered with fellow court reporters and legal professionals. She believes technology should support court reporters — not overwhelm them — and is passionate about helping others find simple, effective ways to streamline their workflow, reduce stress, and reclaim valuable time. Her goal is to help others spend less time managing the mechanics of the job and more time focusing on their careers, their families, and the things that matter most.
