A Freelance Checklist for Students and New Professionals

Celeste Poppe is a recent California CSR, having passed the exam in January of 2017. While she passed the written exam on her first attempt in June of 2016, she worked extremely hard to pass the skills leg of the exam after she missed passing her first attempt in July 2016 by one error. She finally passed the only re-test ever administered in California in January of this year.

At the same time she was attending Bryan University’s online court reporting program, she was a full-time office manager at a court reporting agency, covering the calendar, producing transcripts, syncing videos, organizing billing and payroll, and answering phones for five agencies overall. Celeste also just recently became an RPR, which she also passed on each of her first attempts. In Celeste’s free time, she enjoys snuggling with her pit bull, playing softball, dirt-biking, camping, traveling, and always looking for something new and fun to explore.
