Captioning setups can be a little scary, so we're here to help! Amanda will go over what you need to be successful as a captioner at home and on-site. She will cover what hardware you need. Do you really need headphones? Yes! Amanda will also cover software for an office in your home and what you need to bring to on-site jobs to succeed. Amanda Lundberg, RPR, CRC

Amanda Lundberg, RPR, CRC, changed careers from mortgage banking to stenography and captioning. She has never done a deposition, but she has captioned The Olympic Games and Good Morning America while working for VITAC. Currently she is a staff captioner with White Coat Captioning after being a freelance captioner since 2015. She’s been a captioner and providing CART since 2013 and really loves this career. She enjoys is helping students and professionals succeed by providing excellent captioning for accessibility. Most of the people she works with are way smarter than her. Disability should never be a barrier to success.

She currently lives in New Mexico and loves the weather and natural beauty of her new home. She is a breast cancer survivor and fosters dogs for her county animal shelter.
