However, many professionals only implement it after they start experiencing symptoms like fatigue, apathy, or irritability. In this session, clinical social worker Hilary Cobb will discuss the importance of using a preventative approach to self-care planning as well as the common conditions that can interfere with this process such as compassion fatigue, burnout, vicarious trauma, and secondary traumatic stress. Attendees will learn about different elements of effective self-care planning and how proactive resilience can help you navigate the challenges of helping others.
